This piece asked to be trusted.
This opal ring became my most precious piece to date — not just in value, but in the journey it took to come into being. What began as a clear plan slowly transformed along the way. The design shifted, the setting evolved, the band changed shape. I followed the process rather than forcing an outcome.
The ring band is hand stamped using Native American stamps, a technique and symbolism I have always felt deeply drawn to for its spiritual nature. The pattern reflects mountains and moons — a reminder of the many cycles we move through, the ups and downs, the constant motion of becoming.
My creative process is sometimes straightforward, and sometimes it takes detours until my artist heart is satisfied. This piece needed time, patience, and trust.
Originally intended as a size 9, the ring became a size 10 during the stamping process. I chose to honour that change rather than alter it — it felt true to the journey of the piece.
At its centre sits a magnificent, ocean-flowing opal, grounding the design with depth, movement, and presence. This ring is a true one-off, created slowly and intentionally.
I’m excited for the person who will one day gift this ring to themselves.
